The purpose of this subcommittee is to undertake and support initiatives that enhance Chinese awareness of Chicago as a prime destination for tourism and convention business, in the United States and the world.

The Tourism Subcommittee provided assistance to members of the public interested in attending the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, August 8-24, 2008. With the games a success, we are supporting Chicago’s own Olympic bid for the 2016 Games and looking forward to the final announcement in fall 2009.
