Business & Economic Development Subcommittee

Welcome! The Business and Economic Development subcommittee develops initiatives and projects to foster trade, investment, and economic development between Chicago, Shanghai and Shenyang.

In 2008, we continued with plans to provide legal, business, marketing, and other services to Chinese entities that sponsor delegations to the U.S. The subcommittee is also focusing on promoting the growth of geothermal and solar energy businesses in the midwest, linking Shanghai and Chicago government/private partnerships to build a clean environment with alternative energy.
