Chicago has been named one of Shanghai’s top three Sister Cities, 
along with Gothenburg, Sweden, and Yokohama, Japan. The awards
were announced at the China International Friendship Cities Conference,
held November 8 and 9, 2008, in Beijing.

In recognition of this honor, China Committee Co-Chair Bill Spence 
(second from left) was interviewed on the Shanghai TV show 
"Culture Matters," along with the Mayor of Gothenburg and 
the Vice Mayor of Yokahama.
