The China Committee held its annual Gala, "Swinging Shanghai," on November 13 at Maxim’s. Nearly 100 notable Chicagoans joined Co-Chairs Bill Spence and Ray Chin, and guest of honor Deputy Consul General Maoming Chu, to enjoy the music of Jeff Chan and Gary Tu, feast on a four-star dinner prepared by Opera Executive Chef Beverly Kim, celebrate another year of China-Chicago cooperation, and raise funds to support the China Committee’s programs. Thanks to all who came out--next year’s event promises to be even bigger and better!
